TRAIL HEAVEN - 21KMS

The course is a loop run with hills that keep on coming! Be prepared!

The trail heads up “Heartbreak Hill” and then casts over hill country with a good variety of elevation and contour.  A mix of farm tracks and approximately 1.2km section of metal road along the Mangaeturoa Sth Road linking the next property.  Most of the tracks are good, but keep in mind these are farm tracks and there will be some sections with uneven surfaces. There are two major hill climbs, one at the beginning and then another good climb at the 13.8km mark.  The hill country scenery is stunning.  At the top of Heartbreak Hill there are 360 degree views overlooking vast areas of hill country; out to the mountains and Waimarino Plateau.

 Aid Stations: 2.2km / 4.1km / 12.5km / 18.1km / Finish line 

Safety cut offs
Participants in the 21km walk and run event will be either turned around or redirected at the following points for the safety of participants and event team:

• 5.1km Aid Station – if not there before 9.30am (will be turned back)

• 12km Aid Station – if not there before 12 noon (will be redirected along the Mangaeturoa South Road to the finish line.)
